Baby, it’s cold outside

Classic Christmas tunes.  New holiday tunes.  We incorporated them all into tonight’s show.  From the original singing cowboy, Gene Autry, performing “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” to a very cool, ominous version of “Jingle Bells” by Crash Test Dummies, we had a fun time digging through the holiday CD selection at KWMR.  This year has gone by fast, very fast.  We hope you all had a great year and and wish you an even better 2013.

Buck Sings Eagles

A friend turned us on to a really great EP on Omnivore Recordings.  “Buck Sings Eagles” is a 4 song piece of classic vinyl with Buck Owens singing covers of The Eagles.  It’s a perfect melding of the Bakersfield Sound/West Coast Country with Country Rock.  Based on one of the tracks, we put together a couple more great covers of Eagles songs by Etta James and Linda Ronstadt.  We hope you had as much fun listening as we had playing the songs tonight.  Enjoy!
