Red and Twangy

Tonight’s first 1/2 hour was a post birthday celebration for Red Simpson, born March 6, 1934.  Red still performs.  In fact, you can catch him at Trout’s in Oildale on Monday March 17 at 7:00 pm.  While Red Simpson is more known for his truck songs, he penned a lot of great tunes that were performed by folks like Merle Haggard and Buck Owens.  There’s a great collection there.
