Been a while – update and playlist

Been a while since we put up a new post.  The last show, two weeks ago, was pretty hectic.  It was in the during the semi-annual KWMR pledge drive, which was a nice success.  Supporters of the radio station exceeded the station’s goal of raising $33,333.33!  Thanks!  Also, be sure to click on the link to KWMR and check out the new website.  During the last show, an extended three hour show, we had Johnnie and Flash from Blue Diamond Fillups in the studio early on and then Smelley Kelley and Owen Bly from Red Meat hung out and helped us raise money.  Both Owen and Smelley brought in some very cool vinyl to play on the station’s turntables.  Thanks to Johnnie, Flash, Smelley, and Owen for helping!

And if this didn’t keep us busy enough, KWMR put on a concert at Toby’s Feed Barn featuring one of our favorite bands, Ruby Dee & The Snakehandlers with Blue Diamond Fillups opening the show.  Super fun concert with some great rocking music among the haybales.

On to last night’s show!  Mike was running the show solo as Amanda was out of town.  Hope everyone who listened enjoyed.  Here’s the playlist and some youtube clips to keep you occupied on your Friday.
