Show #249 – Leo Fender

Today marked the anniversary of the death of Leo Fender.  It was his guitar wizardry that gave the Bakersfield Sound it’s trademark twang and sound.  But the Tele wasn’t just a country music player’s guitar of choice.  It is widely use in blues, rock, anything that demands the clean tone a Tele provides.  With that, give a special listening ear to the Tele sound that defined the Bakersfield Sound.

Show #248 – If Yer Spinnin’ Make It A Double

When spinning vinyl, it’s fun to find two tracks to play back to back and make the show a double-shot! So that is exactly what we did.

In face, after we played Gary Stewart’s Sweet-Tater and Cisco we commented on how it would make a good movie. Then we found this strange photo montage to tell the strange tale.
