Show #249 – Rosie Flores, Bob Wills, & Red Simpson

Rosie Flores has a new CD out, and it’s REALLY good. We have been big fans for years, and while she plays lots of shows, she rarely gets to the Bay Area. A few years ago, her song “This Cat’s in the Doghouse” was a perfect fit for a segment on animals on KWMR. The show is called Off Leash.

The 6th of March also happened to be the birthday of both Bob Wills and Red Simpson. Boom, we have a show. We spoke to Rosie at 7pm, and kicked the show off with some new releases. Then it was on to sets celebrating the music of both Bob Wills and Red Simpson. We fit in the prerequisite Buck Owens and Merle Haggard and we didn’t even have to try! The archive is here for two weeks.
