Show #221 – That’s A Wrap, 2017!

Kind of amazing that we have been at this for 221 Bakersfield and Beyond shows, but that is a fact. Tune in next year for show number 222! Other than digging a little deeper on some of the BB vinyl troves, it was just a regular show. No real theme of note. We did get the opportunity to talk to one of our favorite people, Robert Price. Robert is the author of the book “The Bakersfield Sound – How a Generation of Displaced Okies Revolutionized American Music.” No update on the missing Trout’s sign….yet. We will continue to follow this topic.

No fake news on our show! We did get a few requests and were able to honor all of them. Happy to be among the 95 volunteer programmers that grace the airwaves of West Marin. There are some fine shows on KWMR. If you enjoy this program, we suggest you check out “The Silver Dollar Jukebox,” “Off the Cuff,“Midnight in Luxembourg,” “Running with Scissors,” and “After Dark.” This is just the tip of the iceberg of great music programs.

Happy New Year from Amanda and Mike!
