Show #193 – Battle of The Sexes

Happy December! Snuck up on everyone and now it’s the last month of the year! Other things happen when you aren’t paying attention, like the first set of Bakersfield and Beyond being busilly pulled together by Mike, while Amanda set up the playlist and dinked around on the Internet.

Yep, the first half hour of the show was an impressive showing of dudes who make great music. Not complaining, just wanting a bit of equity. Some sparring banter took place at the top of the hour, and low and behold – bring on the sisters!

Some great honky tonk women singing about, what else…men.

Then things just stayed fun, dipping back into some tracks that we had not played in a while and mixing it up with fun and more serious tunes. Hope you enjoyed the show. You can catch the archive HERE until December 15, 2016.

We played some new Sturgill Simpson, but this is from his first album, and due to FCC regulations, this can’t be played on the radio, but it’s a fun song!

We love Patsy Montana, here she is “back in the day.”

And something from Cindy Lee Berryhill.
