There were a few celebrations around this day in history that we riffed off for tonight’s show.  Let’s see if I can remember them:

Waylon Jennings’ “Good Old Boys (Theme from The Dukes of Hazzard) goes to #1 on Nov. 1, 1980 and on Nov. 2, 1993, his “Greatest Hits” album reaches quadruple platinum.

Merle Haggard was released from San Quentin prison on this date in 1960.

Gram Parsons birthday is November 5, 1946.

The Stanley Brothers record “I Am A Man of Constant Sorrow” on this day, Nov. 3, 1950

Shel Silverstein, along with Bob Dylan are inducted into the Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame on Nov. 3, 2002

Hank Williams was among the very first inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame on this day in 1961.
