A Smelley good time

It’s always a treat to talk with Smelley Kelley from the band Red Meat.  Tonight was no exception as we tried to get everyone pumped up for the Red Meat show Friday August 30 at the Old Western Saloon in Pt. Reyes Station.  When Red Meat plays there, it becomes the best Honky Tonk on the West Coast.

Short and sweet post tonight as I flew solo without Amanda (who will be back next show), but I had a little set dedicated to tomorrow night’s blue moon.  I also played a cut from The Byrds’ ‘Sweetheart of The Rodeo,’ which was released on this day 44 years ago.  The album still holds up very nicely.  Better than any of the pop country stuff on the air today.  But I digress.  So, here’s the playlist and some youtube clips.  Thanks for listening.
