Vinyl festivus

Thanks to Wombleton Records in L.A., we picked up a vinyl copy of an out of print LP titled A Town South of Bakersfield.  It’s a pretty neat compilation from 1985 and includes songs from Rosie Flores and Dwight Yoakam.  We cued up one of Dwight’s first recordings, I’ll Be Gone (which was on his first album released in 1986, Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc) from A Town South of Bakersfield and decided to roll with an all LP show.  Super fun spinning vinyl and if you listened, we hope you enjoyed the show.  And if you missed, the show, it will be available for the next two weeks to stream from KWMR‘s website.  Check out the Bakersfield & Beyond section for the stream, or if you are a Facebooker, we post bits on our FB page as well Bakersfield and Beyond.

  1. Looks like I missed a great show. Can’t wait until the 8-week Thursday night class I’m teaching ends so I can catch the show again. Miss you two!
