Lots of music tonight

The playlist was long and chock full of great music by some of our favorites.  Not too many details about tonight’s show, but if folks are in the area and are reading this and looking for a great music event to take in on Sunday, you will want to check out Arann Harris and The Farm Band with The Wronglers (Warren Hellman’s band) at The Mystic Theater in Petaluma on December 12 at 5:30 p.m.  It’s the big give back! In the mean time, check out these clips and the playlist.

We’ve also been in touch with Homer Joy and his wife Suzan, the songwriter of long running hit, “Streets Of Bakersfield.”  Homer’s waiting for a second heart transplant.  Homer’s wife Suzan says “it’s a long hard haul” and they’re “hopeful he will get one soon.”  We wish Homer great health until he can get himself a new heart.  He’s got a lot more songs to lay down and his band is waiting for him to get better so they can get back to recording.  While Homer is waiting for his heart, he’s making his home in Bakersfield.  “Streets Of Bakersfield isn’t the only thing Homer’s done, we played a great song off of his “Someday It’ll Be Country” album tonight.  It’s only one of a bunch of great songs Homer’s given us.  Homer, we are thinking of you!

  1. Thank you for posting these videos. Great stuff. I especially like the Johnny Cash and Homer Joy videos. I’m hoping and praying that good health comes Homer’s way.
